TIMERGARA: The Pak Army vacated the buildings of a basic health unit and a rest house of tourism department in Maskini Darra area here on Tuesday.

A function in this effect was held in the area where Colonel Usman handed over the charge of BHU to deputy district health officer Dr Irshad Rughani.

On the occasion, Colonel Usman said they were vacating the buildings on the directives of high command in order to utilise them for public services. He appreciated the local people for their support to army.

AMBULANCE DONATED TO HOSPITAL: A local welfare organisation on Tuesday donated a well-equipped ambulance to the district headquarters hospital, Timergara, to resolve patients’ transportation issue.

A function to this effect was held at the hospital where president Anjuman Tajaran Timergara Haji Anwaruddin and director of Jan Foundation Wajid Shoeb handed over the key of the ambulance to medical superintendent Dr Mohammad Ali.

Dr Ali thanked the foundation and said it would definitely provide relief to deserving patients. He said four ambulances were out of order and patients faced hardship.

Jan Foundation director said philanthropists should also come forward to assist the poor. He announced the foundation would also afford salary of the vehicle’s driver.

LOC VIOLATION CONDEMNED: The Lower Dir district council on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution against Indian aggression.

District nazim Mohammad Rasool Khan and other members spoke on the occasion, condemning the Indian aggression and termed it violation of international law. They said the council backed the army if India attacked Pakistan.

Nawab Zada, a district councillor from Jandol, demanded of the Corps Commander Peshawar to establish a cadet college in the building of Jandol model College, which according to him, had been closed down by the government.

PPP councillor Alam Zeb condemned the Indian aircrafts’ intrusion into Pakistani territory.
