STPP workers’ hunger strike

NAWABSHAH, July 5: The activists of Sindh Taraqi Passand Party observed a token hunger strike against the arrest of STPP worker Gulzar Soomro in Karachi on Tuesday. The protesters alleged that Gulzar was arrested in fake cases. The protesters also condemned the bifurcation of Nawabshah taluka and demanded release of Gulzar Soomro.

Meanwhile, activists of Sunni Tahreek took out a procession on Tuesday against killing of their workers in Karachi.

The procession started from Mohini Bazaar and terminated at the press club.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Raheem Qadri, district convenor, alleged that their workers were being killed in Karachi by a ruling party by using government resources.

He urged the president and the prime minister to take notice of poor law and order situation.
