LAHORE: A minor girl was allegedly raped by her cousin here on Monday in Garden Town police precincts.

The girl was hospitalised in a critical condition.

Police have arrested 18-year-old suspect ‘G’ of Jeewan Hana Pind.

A police official said the mother of the girl visited the house of her sister along with her daughter. She asked her sister to take care of her daughter as she was to go to a market to purchase some edibles, he said.

Meanwhile, he said, her cousin allegedly raped her, leaving her in a critical condition.

The girl was shifted to hospital where doctors confirmed rape, the official said adding the police arrested the suspect and lodged a case against him on the application of girl’s mother.
