RAWALPINDI: A young man allegedly committed suicide in his house located in the jurisdiction of Saddar Bairooni police on Sunday.

The police said Usman Anjum, 24, a resident of Jarahi Stop, was friends with a girl of the same locality.

He had been upset after exchanging harsh words with her a few days ago, the police added.

Ranyal checkpost in charge Raja Arshad told Dawn that the police reached the house and found the body in a room.

He said the police were investigating the case but apparently there was no other issue behind the suicide.

“We will probe the friends of the deceased to ascertain the actual cause of death,” he added.
