WASHINGTON, June 27: Indian Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who begins his official meetings in Washington from Monday, is expected to focus on bilateral security cooperation when he meets his American counterpart Donald Rumsfeld. Mr Mukherjee is also scheduled to meet Vice President Dick Cheney and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley during his four-day stay in the US capital.

Before leaving New Delhi for Washington, the minister told reporters that he was not going to the US with a shopping list of military hardware and would rather explore various options for expanding Indo-US relations.
