Tendulkar unhappy over bat issue

MUMBAI, June 27: Ace batsman Sachin Tendulkar on Monday responded angrily to questions from Indian reporters about the weight of his cricket bat. He has been troubled by tennis elbow since August 2004. An operation in May last left him with a further 16 weeks on the sidelines.

But asked whether he would now use a lighter bat to protect his joints, he responded: “People seem to have decided a lot of things for me.”

“I will decide what’s good for me. That’s what I have done for 16 years,” Tendulkar stated.—Agencies
