Trauma centre

THERE is only one trauma centre situated at M-9 motorway from Hyderabad to Karachi. The trauma centre inaugurated in 2013 by the Sindh government has no facilities, sufficient staff and equipment.

Since its inauguration, it has not been upgraded. The accidents at motorway are common, and owing to lack of facilities there is no emergency treatment or medical care available at the trauma centre.

The Sindh government should build more trauma centres with proper facilities and they should be upgraded on a regular basis.
