Footballer dies

LAHORE, June 26: Abdul Qayyum Chengazi, 80, a former international footballer of Pakistan died on Sunday due to heart attack. His dead body was taken to his native city Quetta for burial in the afternoon.

Qayyum was the captain of the Pakistan team which defeated India for the first time in international field in an Asia Cup qualifying round 1-0 in Ernakulam India way back in 1960. He also acted as a member of the selection committee for 12 years.
