Six killed on road

KHANPUR, June 26: Six people, including three of a family, were killed in two road accidents on Sunday. Three members of a family were killed when their motorcycle plunged into a ditch, some 40km from here.

Bashir along with his wife, Sonan Mai, and son Shabbir went to his fields by a motorcycle. On return, their two-wheeler plunged into a ditch. Bashir and his wife, Sonan Mai, died on the spot while Shabbir died in a hospital.

In another incident, three motorcyclists were killed when their motorcycle rammed into a roadside tree on the Luddan Road, some 20km off here.

Four boys of Chak 485-EB were going to Fazal Wah by a motorcycle when it hit a tree near Pul Gidarwala. Wajid Ali (12), Irshad (12) and Shahid (18) died instantly while Khalid (13) was injured and was taken to the Nishtar Hospital, Multan.—APP
