WANA (South Waziristan), June 25: Two people were killed when a truck carrying fodder exploded after it caught fire near Chootkhel area in Luddah sub-division, 80km from here on Saturday. The truck was completely gutted after explosives hidden beneath the fodder went off due to fire, witnesses said. The victims, driver and cleaner, could not be identified. The witnesses said a number of explosions were heard after the explosives caught fire.

The incident took place in the area where the army carried out intense bombing last year to destroy an alleged training facility of militants in Deela.

The witnesses said that another truck also carrying fodder was going along with the truck at the time of the incident. However, it disappeared after the blasts, they said.
