KARACHI, June 25: Three persons committed suicide in separate incidents in different parts of the city on Saturday. Police said a security guard, Laal Amin, 32, was posted at an under-construction building of a bank in Timber Marker. He shot himself in the mouth using his own weapon. In Qasba Colony, a housewife committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan.

Police said that Rukhsana, 22, wife of Taj Muhammad hanged herself with her dupatta from the ceiling fan. Later, her body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.

According to the police, she was mother of a child and apparently ended her life due to some domestic discord.

In North Nazimabad, a young woman apparently committed suicide inside her house.

Police said that Nadia, 20, believed to have hanged herself from the ceiling fan in Pahar Gang. Quoting her parent’s claim, police said that she was killed by her in-laws. However, according to her in-laws, Nadia had committed suicide.

Police said that her parents took away the body from the hospital.

ACCIDENT: A toddler died in a road accident in Pirabad police limits on Saturday.

Police said that Hamza was crossing a road when minibus of route (W-19) knocked him down. Following the accident, people caught the errant driver and roughed him up. Enraged youths also lit bonfire and disrupted traffic in the area. Later, the mob handed over the driver to the police.

VEHICLES: The ACLC recovered four vehicles following raids conducted in different areas of the city on Saturday, adds PPI.

Police recovered one snatched/ stolen car, three motorcycles and an auto rickshaw, said a press release.

Registration number of the car recovered from Baloch Colony police limits is E-8352 while those of motorcycles are LHB-7143, KBH-9998, and SKC-3490. An auto rickshaw (D-32589) was recovered from Jauharabad police limits.
