No water in DHA

Published December 13, 2018

MY family has been residing in Phase VI, DHA since 1991. My house is located on 11th Street off Khayaban-i-Badar near Sultan Masjid. Ours is an upscale residential area. The street on which I live hasn’t received a drop of water since the late eighties!

The residents of have no option except to purchase water from the tankers mafia and our patience has given up after 27 years. Why there is no piped water supply to this area is a mystery, which has not been answered to date.

I am a civil engineer by profession and have some other observations about living in DHA. There is not a single officially designated bus stop, taxi or rickshaw stand in all of DHA.

The DHA authorities should address these issues.
