GUJRANWALA: A businessman was killed and his son injured when the roof of their factory at Baghbanpura caved in following an explosion on Saturday.

Manzoor Hussain, a resident of Hafizabad Road, had a factory of powder coating and hearth painting on Tameer-i-Akhlaq Road and he along with his son and four employees would work there.

They were working in the factory when an explosion occurred resulting in the roof collapse.

Manzoor, 60, died on the spot while his son Shoaib, 19, was injured. A team of Rescue 1122 and locals removed the debris and brought them out and shifted Shoaib to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital in a critical condition.
