SHEIKHUPURA: One person was killed and three others, including groom’s father, received injuries in jubilation fire near Safdarabad on Sunday evening.

Police said participants of a marriage party resorted to aerial firing as they reached bride’s home. A bullet hit Falik Sher who died on the spot.

Groom’s father Manzoor, minor boy Azam and another guest were shifted to a nearby hospital with bullet wounds.

The district police chief took notice of the incident and directed police to arrest the accused at the earliest.
