What activism? Sitting in Oxford library is not activism. Please go to poor villages of Pakistan and Afghanistan and serve people for 10 years to deserve such an award.

The narrow minded and confused heads will cry at every success and honour this young Pakistani lady achieves. These people can only learn if their children are shot by enemies of Pakistan, enemies of education.

If being shot by the Taliban in a backward Country gets u world recognition it's a bit sad don't u think. Plus when she going back to Pakistan and save the rest of the girls

@Waqas Sultan, she founded a not-for-profit and used the proceeds from her book to fund it and help others. She remains a vocal global champion for women's rights and education, areas that Pakistan is practically last in the world. And, she remains a global Pakistani figure that many people look upto. She may remind us of Pakistan at its worst, but that's because we have let our country become that way. Malala didn't make that happen, she's a victim of it. Now I'm confused, what have you done?

Harvard is debasing it’s awards by selecting such fly by night influencers. She is a courageous lady, no doubt. But awarding her Nobel and Harvard awards is not by merit.

Why is she living in Birmingham?

Malala Yousafzai created history being the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. She has received several other awards since then, she will now be honoured by the Harvard University. She is a role model for all the girls in Pakistan who are proud of her extraordinary courage and achievement.

@Omar, Thank you so much for the excellent reply - mine was deleted, but I wanted to make the same point. I'm often amused by the levels of hatred and paranoid that come from across the border, but every now and again we manage to set a new level here in Pakistan. There are people in these comments who are genuinely discussing the possibility of Malala being a foreign agent, because she was given an American award. Our founding father, MA Jinnah, was educated and qualified in the UK - so presumably he was an agent as well? What about Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, who founded the Two Nation Theory? He was educated in Edinburgh, he must have been an agent too. This level of hysteria is a sad refection of how regressive the education system is in Pakistan. We bend over backwards to show submission and affection to the US, and even to hindustan, but when it comes to our own success stories, we have nothing but scorn. Hasan
