LAHORE, June 23: The federal government has directed the provinces to carry out a survey of non-registered medical colleges and advised the students to check whether an institution has PMDC affiliation before getting admission. Talking to APP, Federal Health Minister Naseer Khan said the government would not allow any institution to play with students’ future, and added that an action had already been initiated against certain non-registered medical colleges in Punjab and Sindh.

He said it was mandatory for all medical colleges to get registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, the sole authority to approve establishment of such institutions according to the laid down criterion.
