NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 23: The district nazim presented a budget of Rs1942.182 million for the year 2005-06 at the district council session on Wednesday. According to budget documents, Rs1730.007 million have been earmarked for salaries while Rs212.175 million for non-salary component.
The nazim said that licence fee for new petrol or diesel agency has been enhanced to Rs15,000 while it’s renewal fee has been increased to Rs3000. He said Rs2.5 million had been allocated for social programmes, Rs1 million for games including establishment of district cricket board.
The ADP will get Rs309 million of which 80 per cent — Rs240 million — will be spent on ongoing schemes, and the remaining will be kept for new schemes, and Rs15.45 million had been earmarked for the schemes of Citizens Community Board.
An amount of Rs2.05 million has been proposed for 12 schemes in physical and housing sector, Rs26.957 million for 91 new schemes in rural development road sector, Rs12.193 million for 50 schemes in education sector, Rs1.45 million for five schemes in health sector, Rs3.3 million for six village electrification schemes, while a gas supply scheme will get Rs400,000.
Haj scheme for three citizens and three government employees was also introduced and Rs600,000 were proposed for it.
A sum of Rs1.5m earmarked for motorcycle advance scheme to employees.—Correspondent
