Acrylic waste yard gutted

HARIPUR June 21: The acrylic waste yard of Dewan Salman Fibers in Hattar was gutted when a fire broke out here on Tuesday evening. The cause of the fire and nature of losses and casualties could not be known immediately as fire fighters were reportedly busy in putting out the fire till late night.

Hattar police said that some workers of a closed unit of Iltaf Textile Hattar, had, in order to dispose off waste material, set it on fire at around 7 pm. The surging flames spread to nearby waste yard of Dewan Fibers Hattar due to gusty winds and engulfed it.
