ISLAMABAD: A large number of people on Saturday reached Trail 5 of Margallah Hills to clear it of garbage.

The activity, organised by a local hotel under corporate social responsibility, was aimed at raising awareness of clean environment.

Participants, in which hotel staff was also included, were divided in two teams to cover separate areas and clean the entire trek.

General Manager of hotel Mr. Michel A. Galopin while addressing the teams said: “It is a great activity to promote a positive approach towards cleanliness. We are all responsible to keep our surroundings clean and pleasant, and we will always continue to do such endeavours.”

He emphasised the importance of protecting the environment and developing interests among citizens to take care of pollution in all ways possible.
