KARACHI: Water shortage

Published June 20, 2005

KARACHI, June 19: The residents of 100-Quarters area, Sector 50-B of Korangi are without water for the last three months forcing them to depend on contaminated sub-soil water from tankers.

In spite of repeated complaints by residents to concerned authorities, there appears no change in the state of affairs.

It was reported that some fault had emerged in the pump installed at the pumping station at Korangi No 5-1/2, and it was not delivering water at required pressure.—APP
