Seven killed in two accidents

QUETTA, June 18: Seven people, including a girl, were killed and 45 others injured in two accidents which took place near Sibi and Khuzdar on Saturday. A Quetta-bound coach coming from Larkana overturned near Sibi, some 180km of here, on Saturday morning as a result of which five people were killed and 30 injured.

Three passengers died on the spot while two others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital they were taken to. The injured, including women and children, were admitted to the Civil Hospital Sibi.

Police said that the accident was caused due to over-speeding.

In the second accident, two people, including a girl, were killed and 15 others injured when a truck belonging to the Frontier Corps rammed into a coach on a section of the Quetta-Karachi National Highway, near Khuzdar, on Saturday.

All the injured were admitted to the Civil Hospital Khuzdar.

The two who died were identified as Ataullah and Samina.

The police registered a case against the Frontier Corps truck driver.
