GUJRANWALA, Jan 10: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has taken a serious note of agreement violation by M/s International Contract Management (Pvt) Limited, Karachi.

The PTCL on Thursday issued a memorandum to the company for fulfilling the agreement of maintaining customer service centres and telegraph offices.

A divisional engineer said in his memorandum that the company had yet not displayed rate lists of fax and telephone calls while complaints of overcharging were also being received from subscribers.

He asked the company and contractor to take appropriate action against the staff for not abiding by the agreement, otherwise the matter would be forwarded to high-up for further action.

OPEN KUTCHERY: Gujran-wala Electric Power Company (Gepco) chief executive Brig Mushtaq Ahmad will hold an open kutchery in Sialkot circle office on Saturday.

This was stated by a Gepco spokesman in a press release issued here on Thursday.

Ticket system: The range police chief has inaugurated the ticket system for traffic violations in the city.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony here on Thursday, he urged the traffic police to implement the law without any discrimination.

He hoped the people would find it convenient in obtaining their documents from the traffic police centre on the GT Road immediately after depositing the fine in any NBP’s branch.

Traffic violation tickets of Rs50 to Rs200 would be issued to motorcyclists while tickets of Rs100 to Rs300 to violators of other vehicles, he said.

The previous system of traffic fines, he said, was creating problems for both vehicle owners and various government functionaries, including the traffic police.

Traffic DSP Intisar Hussain briefed the DIG about the ticket system and the number of vehicles plying in the district.

The traffic police centre will remain opened from 7am to 7pm.
