ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has granted five-day protective bail to Tariq Mansha, son of Mansha ‘Bomb’, in a land grabbing case.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the IHC on Friday accepted the plea seeking protective bail for Tariq Mansha.

On Oct 15, Mansha Bomb had surrendered before police at the Supreme Court building. There are 83 cases registered against Mansha Bomb and Tariq Mansha, including encroaching on land in Lahore’s Johar Town and attacking an LDA team.

Although he was not named in the FIRs, Tariq Mansha had expressed apprehensions that police might arrest him at some later stage.

Talking to reporters, Mr Tariq claimed that his father was an aged person and a notable land holder and the police had tagged ‘Bomb’ with his father’s name to show him as a hardened criminal.
