Zone-II Whites in final

KARACHI, June 16: Zone-II Whites booked their berth in the final of the KCCA Under-19 Inter-Zonal cricket tournament with an easy eight-wicket thrashing of Zone-V Blues at the KCCA Stadium on Wednesday.

Ali Asad slammed an unbeaten 73 with 12 boundaries and Hammad Khan made 53 not out with eight fours and a six as the pair added 124 for the unbroken third wicket.

Earlier Zone-V Blues were bundled out for 154 in 48 overs. Off-spinner Shahmir Khattak took four for 37 and slow left-armer Athar Hussain grabbed three for 37. Adnanur Rahman made 50 with five hits to the fence.

The final between Zone-II Whites and Zone-VI Whites is scheduled to be played on Friday at the same venue.
