KARACHI, June 16: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Thursday expressing concern over the killing of two Sunni Tehreer activists and deteriorated law and order situation in various parts of the city accused the government of sponsoring terrorism and hooliganism.

Condemning the Sindh government, MMA legislators Nasrullah Shajjee, Mohammad Younis Barai and Hameedullah Khan alleged that a coalition partner in the Sindh government was employing state terrorism and state resources to victimize and suppress political rivals.

“The provincial government and the Sindh governor are patronizing terrorists and culprits,” they alleged, while accusing the police of working under oath for the MQM.

They condemned siege of the ST office and arrest of its activists and said the crack down against the party was the worse example of state terrorism.

The questioned if the law enforcement agencies might siege Nine-Zero, the MQM headquarters, for arresting the terrorists and murderers.

MMA leaders criticized law enforcement agencies for their failure to arrest the killers of Mufti Shamzai, Aslam Mujahid, Jamal Tahir, Abdullah Murad, Mufti Jameel and Munawwar Suharwardy.—PPI
