ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan on Tuesday felicitated Pakistan’s squash players who won medals at the Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship held in Chennai last month.

Hamza Khan, Haris Qasim and Abbas Zeb won gold medals in U-15, U-17 and U-19 categories, respectively while Anas Ali Shah clinched U-13 silver at Chennai.

Interacting with the young players during his meeting at the Air Headquarters, the Air Chief, who is also president of the Pakistan Squash Federation, said being the future of Pakistan squash, they should further strive to achieve excellence, noting “your next target should be the World Junior Open”.

While lauding the PSF efforts for providing international-standard training and coaching facilities to the players, Mujahid reiterated that the PAF and the PSF would continue to sponsor talented young players besides making concerted efforts to help the country regain its glory in world squash.Air Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi, PSF’s senior vice-resident, was also present on the occasion.
