DERA GHAZI KHAN, June 15: Dera district naib nazim and district council convener Javed Iqbal Qaisrani on Wednesday conveyed to the DCO and all EDOs through an official letter not to implement financial

matters relating to the revised budget.

He further said that neither copies of the revised budget were provided to the convener in the budget session on June 11 nor the approval of the budget was obtained by the quarters concerned.

The convener also informed the DCO and EDOs that some quarters were engaged in getting signatures of council members on the copy of an unapproved revised budget which was not only an illegal act but also and against the rules of the local body ordinance.

District Nazim Jamal Leghari and his supporter members had not attended the revised budget session on June 11 which was presided over by the district naib nazim. In fact, the district nazim had held a separate meeting in his office and approved the revised budget in a novel way by appointing a new convener.
