KARACHI, June 15: Two ships carrying edible oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday. Meanwhile, berthing was slow as only one ship with pluses was berthed. Six ships, Sealand Express, Makran, YuChen Hsinang, Athena Sea, Yanaseni and Min Noble, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice and seeds, general cargo, pulses, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 39,639 tons comprising 15,582 tons of import and 23,987 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Three ships, Asian Gyro, P&O Nedlloyd Tiger and Sri-Kerteh, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage. On arrival side, three ships, Al-Manakh, Saudi Tabuk and Al-Maqwa, with containers and diesel oil were expected to reach at the port on Thursday.
