Contrasting wins for SGP, KESC

KARACHI, June 14: Sindh Government Press (SGP) and KESC gained contrasting victories in the National Challenge Cup football tournament played on Tuesday. An opportunist goal by Farhan in the 60th minuted gave SGP a hard-earned 1-0 victory over a fighting Korangi Rangers while KESC drubbed Naka Mohammadan 6-0 in the other match of the day.

Shakir Lashari started the KESC goal rush with a strike in the 21st minute. Aurangzeb (38th) and Aftab Ahmed (42th) made the scoreline 3-0 at the half time for the winners.

KESC continued to pound Naka Mohammadan goal and Sohail (46th), Shakir (49th) and Sohail Ishaq (89th) completed the rout.

Wenesday fixtures: Navy v Mauripur Baloch; PWD v CDGK.
