RAWALPINDI: Immigration staff of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) off-loaded and arrested a senior staffer of Axact, an IT firm, as his name has been placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) by the federal government in a fake degree scam case, sources said.

The arrested Axact staffer Nigel Brian Rebullow is a close aide to the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and owner Shoaib Shaikh.

He was held a day after Shoaib Shaikh was arrested by the FIA and sent to Adiala jail.

Nigel Brian was detained on Wednesday when he reported to the passport control desk at Islamabad International Airport for boarding a flight of Qatar Airways to Doha.

The immigration staff shifted him to the FIA office for investigation.
