Amal’s death

Published September 23, 2018

ALL systems need to be overhauled from time to time as we progress. Incidents like Amal Umer’s tragic death raise an alarm and remind us that it is time to change things.

We, as a nation, should learn from our mistakes and move towards developing better systems for institutions that help humanity in the best possible way. If we do this, there will be justice for Amal, her parents and hundreds of other people who have suffered owing to the failure of these systems.

Tenderness, care, willingness to help, patience must be there in the hardest of times. Where systems fail, the heart helps heal the wound. Heartfelt condolences to Beenish, Umer and all the parents who have lost their loved ones owing to failed systems and hardened hearts.
