KARACHI, June 13: Illegal constructions were demolished in different areas of the city in an action taken by demolition squad of the Karachi Building Control Authority on Monday. According to the KBCA a room, illegally constructed on compulsory open space on the backside of plot no 6-J, block-2, PECHS, Jamshed Town and six columns and walls on plot no 197-D, block-2 were demolished while a roof shuttering on ground floor was removed due to the violation of plan.

The KBCA team demolished illegal constructions on compulsory open space in the front on plot no A-383, block-4 Karachi Administration Society and extended portion of the roof on road side on plot no G-106, phase-II, Defence View.

Illegal RCC constructions were demolished on plot no 1038 and 1039 in the Lyari Town and in Bihar Colony where shuttering for an illegal roof on first floor was also removed.

In Baghdadi area, illegal constructions on ground floor on plot no 16-Ly-17 were demolished despite law and order situation.

In Khudadad Colony, the shuttering for 4th floor on plot no 1440 was removed while four columns and balcony roof and walls were demolished.

In Gulberg Town, a KBCA team razed the illegal columns of second floor on plot no R-929 and 930, block-20, illegal partition walls on first and second floors on plot no 101, partition walls of shops on plot no DT-165, block-18 and sealed illegal shops on plot no C-4, block-18. — APP
