KOHAT: The police here on Wednesday recovered four kidnapped persons of Abbottabad who were being shifted in a car from Orakzai area to some other place and arrested three alleged kidnappers near Marai.

The alleged kidnappers had been demanding Rs4 million as ransom for the release of abductees from their families.

SP investigation Jehanzeb Khan told journalists at a press conference that on Sept 14 a resident of Kohati Dhok, Bilitang, his son Irfan temporarily living in Kohat and their cousin residing in Orakzai area planned to kidnap Pir Nawab, Rehmatzada, Batkht Nazar and Amirzada of Abbotabad. He said that the victims were called to Bilitang and being taken to Orakzai for showing them a car for sale. He said that Rs500,000 cash was also recovered.

The Bilitang police registered the case against the suspects and have obtained their remand from a local court.
