KARACHI: The Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) on Friday raised before the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) their issues related to the IRIS-ADX application for filing tax returns.

At a seminar organised by the KTBA, tax consultants pointed out that they are facing problems in filing tax returns as well as complications regarding its installation.

Responding to the concerns raised, that IRIS-ADX application has been prepared to facilitate tax consultant also known as e-intermediaries to prepare income tax returns and wealth statements.

Member (IT) FBR Khawaja Adnan Zahir informed that the system could also upload sales tax invoices in offline mode, while assuring consultants to resolve the issues raised.

On the occasion Dr Wasim Ahmad from Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd gave a detailed presentation on the software. It enables tax consultants to sync all data prepared offline with IRIS. The last date to file tax returns and wealth statements for individuals and Association of Persons (AoP) is Sept 30.
