31-year jail term for militant

SARGODHA: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Tariq Mehmood Zargham handed down 31 years in imprisonment to a man and confiscation of his property in terror activities cases.

According to prosecution, on March 11 this year, a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) team arrested Ziaullah in a house in Mianwali and seized a hand grenade and ammunition from him. The police registered a case against the accused under the terrorism act and as charges were proved in the court, the ATC judge announced the verdict.
