SAHIWAL: A man lost his life in a bid to retrieve a sunken motorcycle from canal here on Tuesday at 9/9-L, Link Canal, Fatoo Mor, Lahore-Multan motorway.
Reports said 22-year-old Ilyas, a resident of village 133/9-L, struck a Rs2,000 deal for retrieving motorcycle of a passer-by from the canal. Ilyas jumped into the canal and drowned. Rescue 1122 took one hour to recover the body of Ilyas. The motorcycle owner managed his escape.
