KHAIRPUR: Four students were injured on Tuesday in a clash between two groups of students at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur.

The injured — identified as Zeeshan Mangrio, Safeer Samityo, Sajjad Panhyar and Sarang Mahesar — were taken to the Civil Hospital of Khairpur.

The injured students said they belonged to the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) and a group of students associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had attacked them. But the rival group said the JSQM’s students had attacked them first.

According to the university administration, students clashed over some personal issues and the administration is looking into the matter.
