Published June 12, 2005

JACOBABAD, June 11: Dr Hadi Bux Jatoi, Director General Health Services Sindh, has said that children were blessings of God and it was our duty to protect them from diseases. Speaking at a seminar on “Social mobilization regarding eradication of polio” held here on Saturday, Dr Jatoi said that everyone has to fight against diseases such as polio, hepatitis-B, C and others.

He said that polio had been eradicated in other countries but we were still fighting against it. He further said that we have to decide whether we want disabled children or healthy ones.

The DG health expressed his dissatisfaction over funds allocated for health in the budget. He said that teams have been constituted to monitor working of the hospitals.
