KARACHI, Jan 9: Muhammad Asim, Omair Haji Salim and Jibran Rana notched-up exciting victories in the first round of qualifying stage of Sindh Cup Snooker tournament at Indus Club, Bahadurabad, Wednesday.

Asim defeated Fahad Younus 3-2, Omair beat Jawad Khaliq 3-2 and Jibran Rana overpowered Mubarak Shah 3-2 in matches which went to full distance.

Hyder Ali Khan chalked out a break of 60 in the last frame in his 3-1 win over Mahboob- ur- Rehman while Hasan Rasheed made the break of 51 in third frame while routing Nain-ur-Raza 3-0.
