KRFC beat ASFC

KARACHI, June 9: Korangi Rangers Football Club (KRFC) overcame Azad Shaheen Football Club (ASFC) 5-3 on penalty kicks in the All-Karachi Nazir Hussain Memorial football tournament on Thursday.

None of the two teams managed to score a goal in the first half as the scoreboard stood 0-0 at the end of the first half.

Arif Shehzad broke the ice for the winning team in the 38th minute through a brilliant solo effort goal which was soon leveled by forward Shahid of ASFC in the 40th minute to level the score 1-1.

The score remained the same till the final whistle blew and the score was 1-1 in the real time.

Later, Goalie Abdul Nasir of winning team was declared Man-of-the-Match.—PPI
