PPP & Nawabshah

Published August 16, 2018

POOR governance by the previous PPP government in Sindh can be gauged from the fact that the roads leading to Zardari House (PPP’s political headquarters), in Nawabshah are in a dilapidated condition.

Despite ruling Sindh for over a decade, the PPP government has failed to deliver. How can one expect the third tenure of the PPP government will bring prosperity to the province and improve people’s lives?

Sindh 2017-18 budget allocated more than five billion rupees for the city’s development but utilisation of these funds is only on paper. Battered roads with no streetlights and poor sanitation are evidence of malpractices.

The budget also provided a huge amount of Rs644.043 million only for a single girl’s cadet college in Nawabshah. One cannot see any progress on this college.

The embezzlement of funds in Sindh should be probed by the authorities concerned.
