18 injured in accident

SHIKARPUR, June 8: At least 18 people, including the drivers of a coach and a truck, were seriously injured in a collision between the Swat-bound coach and the truck at Shikarpur-Jacobabad bypass on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred when the driver of the truck (C-1363) tried to overtake the coach (P-1355) coming from Karachi.

The injured were identified as coach driver Faqeer Shah, Habibullah (Swat), Yousuf Khan (conductor) and passengers Zafar Pathan (Karachi), Fazal Illahi (Swat), Alamgir (Karachi), Nadeem (Swat), Aftab (Swat), Hussainzada (Swat), Aaj Khan (Charag), Zahid Khan (Dir), Muslim Khan (Dir), Humayoon (Swat), Mohammad Ajmal (Swat), Saifullah (Swat), Shujaat (Orangi, Karachi), Ms Nazia, wife of Aurangzeb and Ms Zahida, wife of Mohammad Zaib (Dir). The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital Shikarpur. Police have registered a case.
