GUJRANWALA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) have booked half a dozen senior officials of the Pakistan Horticulture Authority (PHA) on Corruption charges.

ACE director Freed Ahmed told Dawn that PHA Director General Abdul Karim Khokhar, Director Admin and Finance Ahad Dogar, Deputy Director Muneer Gujjar and others had awarded contracts of various outdoor advertising projects worth Rs 633 million to contractor Shafqat without inviting any tender.

He said on receiving complaints, the ACE conducted an inquiry against the accused officials and found them guilty. “They were given chances to prove them innocent but they failed,” the ACE director said. Their arrest warrants would be issued soon.
