Police surveillance vehicles on election duty will have live video streaming cameras, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa AIG Operations Ali Babakhel announced.
Specially prepared surveillance vehicles will have four cameras each installed on them which will be able to detect a human body from a mile's distance. All district police officer (DPO) offices will also be connected via video link on the election day, Babakhel said.
The province — marred with election violence which has led to the deaths of two candidates and attacks on others — will have over 60,000 police officials on election duty, the officer said. KP police will also have assistance from 94 platoons of Frontier Constabulary.
