POLITICIANS in Pakistan have of late resorted to a shocking trend of humiliating and abusing political foes and the people. The leaders in Pakistan are a strange lot in a sense that on the one hand they talk about democracy while on the other they lack democratic norms.

Naeem Bukhari slapping a PML-N leader on a TV show to Ayaz Sadiq and Imran Khan calling the people names have violated democratic norms as well as the Election Commission’s code of conduct.

The ECP and other concerned authorities should look into the matter and admonish political figures for being rude towards others.
