RAHIM YAR KHAN: The district police officer suspended a constable from service for violating the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) code of conduct and got him arrested.

Constable Muhammad Ali Saeedi, posted at Police Lines, was found participating in campaign of the PML-N-backed candidate for NA-175, Sahibzada Hamid Saeed Kazmi.

Saeedi was also witnessed chanting slogans in the public gatherings arranged by the PML-N candidate.

DPO Muhammad Athar Waheed, after verifying the reports, suspended Mr Saeedi from service and ordered his arrest.

Accordingly, Sheedani Sharif police arrested the constable and registered an FIR (230/18) against him.
