KHAIRPUR, June 4: Led by sufi singer Faqeer Bhooral Bhatti, a demonstration against water shortage was staged here on Saturday in Faiz Nahar and its branches. They regretted that due to continued shortage, the growers as well as the villagers were facing hardships.
They said that paddy crop seeding was getting dried in the area which was being irrigated through hand pumps.
On the other hand, the growers continued their protest against water shortage in Faiz Nahar and its branches and took out a procession in Sobhodero.
