KARACHI, June 4: Three ships carrying general cargo, containers and steel are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where eight ships were berthed. They are: Wan Hai-265, Elbe Oldendroff, PONL Buenos Aries and Harmony to unload and load containers, Wise King, to offload steel, Thor Sea and Path Finder to unload DAP fertilizer and Global EOS, to unload palm.

Six vessels, APL Orchid, Astor, Harmony, Iran Kordestan, Chem Rigel and Global EOS departed on Saturday, while Asphalt Merchant, Wise King and Buenos Aries are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of 52,819 tons, comprising 10,387 tons of export tonnage and 42,432 ton of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Dina Queen, with general cargo, Bunga Terasek, with containers, and World Group-1, with 22,000 tons of steel. The following ships are due on Monday: Botany Trust, to load molasses and ethanol, Al-Jazy, Kota Teraju, with containers, Banglar Doot, with general cargo and Swat, with crude oil.
