HYDERABAD, Jan 9: The activists of Sunni Tehrik here on Wednesday staged Defence Pakistan Rally at the press club to express solidarity with the armed forces.

Speaking at the rally, the Sunni Tehrik leaders Qazi Zamirud Din and Khalid Qadri, Anjuman Asataza-i-Pakistan Secretary, Syed Akram Ali and chief of the fundamental rights commission, Abdul Jabbar Rehmani said that the Sunnis had played a dominant role in the creation of Pakistan and they would continue to sacrifice their lives to defend the country.

They said that the workers of Sunni Tehrik would fight side by side with their armed forces to defend the motherland.

They warned India that the children of ghazis and martyrs of 1965 war were fully prepared to sacrifice their lives for the defence of Pakistan.

They said that the present situation was the creation of a handful of people who had exploited the innocent people in the name of Islam and Jihad and created difficulties for the country.

The artists of Hyderabad under the banner of Aziz Arts Circle also took out a rally against the aggressive designs of India.
