The Election Commission of Pakistan has postponed general elections in the PK-78 constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, following a suicide bombing in Peshawar on Tuesday night.

The attack, claimed by the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, took the lives of 20 people, including Awami National Party leader Haroon Bilour, one of the PK-78 contestants.

An ECP spokesperson today confirmed that polls in the constituency will now be held on a later date.
